The capital and largest city of the Republic of Croatia emerged from two medieval settlements that for centuries budded in the neighboring hills and, at the same time, Croatia’s political, economic and cultural center.
Partly European and partly Asian country, the Republic of Turkey is a link between these two continents through the Dardanelles and the Bosporus, the sea route between the Mediterranean and Black Sea.
The Republic of Serbia is located on the Balkan Peninsula in southeastern Europe. It borders with Hungary in the north; with Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the west; with Montenegro, Albania and Macedonia in the south; with Bulgaria and Romania in the east.
Slovenia lies on the west of Balkans. In the north it borders with Austria, in the west with Italy, in the east with Hungary and in the south with Croatia.
